Throughout his global career, Dr. Johan C. Boswinkel established Institutes for Applied Biophoton Sciences in Norway, the United States, and the Netherlands, creating an international foundation for advancing biophoton applications. These institutes built worldwide recognition for the IABS brand and Dr. Boswinkel's biophysical wellness approach.

In his final working years 2015-2020, Dr. Boswinkel shifted focus to Dubai, where he pioneered the exploration of implementation of his biophoton innovations within regulated clinical environments. This represented a departure from the institute model toward investigating possibilities for clinical integration and professional healthcare applications.

Founded in 2022, our Institute for Applied Biophoton Sciences revives and builds upon the established IABS brand recognition that Dr. Boswinkel created through his earlier international institutes. We draw upon the collective experience and reputation developed across those original operations while incorporating the insights gained during his Dubai exploration years.

This global foundation ensures that practitioners entering the field today gain access to a rich legacy of international experience, benefiting from continuity that spans decades of

development and refinement. Grounded in complete preparation from the beginning, they receive comprehensive training in Dr. Boswinkel's extensive biophoton research for human and animal wellness, developed and tested across a wide range of environments and practical applications worldwide.

Our educational mission emerged from recognition that earlier training efforts, while often inspiring, lacked the consistency and completeness necessary to transmit Dr. Boswinkel's methodology in its entirety. Through sustained collaboration between Dr. Boswinkel and Institute founder Karolina Boswinkel, MEd, the first comprehensive curriculum was developed to address this fundamental challenge. 

The structured training programs we deliver today represent more than a decade of focused development, creating systematic transmission of knowledge that had previously been taught through fragmented approaches. This curriculum development was conducted entirely under Dr. Boswinkel's direct guidance and approval, ensuring faithful representation of his complete system.
